Do you want to help develop the future of social services? The Quality Unit is looking for a process leader who wants to contribute to an equitable, legally secure, and efficient social service in Gothenburg.

The position is a reinforcement of the unit due to an expanded mandate related to the new Social Services Act and the work with interventions without needs assessment (IUB).

About the Unit

The Quality Unit started on October 1, 2023, as part of the joint development work of the social services. We coordinate and develop common governing and supporting documents related to the social services process to create clear, purposeful, and legally secure working methods that contribute to equal treatment. The unit belongs to the Hisingen social administration and is subordinate to the administrative director. The main clients are department heads within the various areas of the social services process. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the operations and is characterized by common working methods and dialogue.

The unit currently employs eight process leaders with different focuses, primarily within children and youth, adults, and financial support. In addition, the unit coordinates other subject areas, such as ASI, BBIC, targeted parenting support, and Skolfam. The work is led by a unit manager and is characterized by collaboration, knowledge exchange, and shared responsibility for the whole.

About the Role

As a process leader, you translate legislation, political assignments, and goals into practical working methods. You drive and coordinate development and quality work at a city-wide level, initially focusing on interventions without needs assessment (IUB). The role may also encompass other development areas over time as the city's needs and priorities change.

You will work both strategically and operationally and will, among other things:

• Lead and coordinate working groups with representatives from the social administrations
• Develop routines, support documents, and reports that are useful for the operations
• Contribute to the development and quality assurance of the social services process from a holistic perspective

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another relevant higher education and extensive experience in social services. You are well acquainted with the legislation that governs social services and have good knowledge in individual and family care.

You have several years of experience in organizational development or process leadership and are used to leading and driving development work together with managers and other key personnel. You work in a structured and goal-oriented manner and can switch between strategic and operational levels. Experience with process-oriented working methods is an advantage.

The position requires excellent collaboration skills and confidence in complex collaboration structures, preferably also at interfaces with other authorities and administrations. It is an advantage if you have experience working with IUB and good knowledge of Gothenburg's city organization and governance.

You have a very good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing.

About Us

The Hisingen Social Administration is part of the social services in Gothenburg City. We are one of four social administrations. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.

We offer support in individual and family care, social emergency services, assistance with addiction issues, and integration matters. We also work with leisure activities and preventive work regarding public health, community planning, local safety work, and integration issues.
